Gill & Macmillan
Participants of our WebElevate programme recently developed a new iPad app and game, Harry’s Magic Tables, to help young children master their times tables in a fun and interactive way. The new learning app was developed for education publisher Gill & Macmillan through our WebElevate programme.
Harry’s Magic Tables app, is based on the highly successful book by the same name, written by Dublin mother and Montessori teacher, Stephanie Moraghan. Stephanie was inspired to come up with a unique rhyming and visual method to help her son Harry, then aged 9, to learn his times tables and to begin enjoying maths again. Designed for children aged between 8 and 12 years of age, the innovative learning app and game is designed to make mastering times tables easy and fun.
Jonathan Saint, Education Publishing Director, Gill & Macmillan said“Harry’s Magic Tables book was first published in 2012 and has already helped thousands of children to learn their times tables. We are really impressed by the app that has been developed by participants of the WebElevate programme. The team has worked tirelessly and very professionally. They quickly understood Stephanie and Harry’s concept behind the book and brought it to life with great graphics and audio and a brilliant set of games. While it’s very focused on delivering a great outcome for children, it’s packed full of fun that learning the times tables can be an absolute joy!”
